The TORPEDO III! is designed to be used with the Context Engineering "Split-Body" series of enclosures, specifically, Part #4012. The TORPEDO III! is specifically designed for a custom extrusion length from Context - 14 inches (standard Context extrusion length is 6 inches). It is possible, however, to manually construct a custom case using wood, metal or other materials. The templates below, while based on the Context custom extrusion length, are valid if you want to design your own.
Note: The board is supported on the sides by the Context case slots. If you design/construct your own case, be sure to use the side mounting holes (dimensioned above). While the PCB is not very wide, the transformers and tube sockets (by virtue of plugging and un-plugging tubes) will exert quite a bit of stress on the PCB. As with everything else concerning the TORPEDO III, there is 200+V coursing through major parts of the PCB. Allowing stress to loosen some solder joints or damage traces will result in nothing good. Therefore, we recommend the use of the center hole standoffs/supports at all times.

There are three holes used on the bottom of the case and on the PCB for center support. The TORPEDO III! uses only the front two. Using the 2nd slot from bottom to station the PCB, a 5/16" standoff or spacer (threaded or not) with a single washer for additional spacing should work. You can use other combinations of spacer/standoff/washers. The important thing is to ensure that the center of the PCB is under a mild upward tension (to counteract the natural center dip).

Please do not attempt to plug tubes in or out without the center supports (2) in place.
